Working late worries
Work has been crazy for me for the past few weeks. I work for an internet company and things are changing there, as I'm sure they are changing at most internet companies.
For the past week, I haven't even been able to leave the building to get a breath of fresh air. But today I did take a 15 minute break away from my computer. To make up for this, I got to work late.
This isn't a problem now, but I think it will be when Little Elvis is born. If I have to work outside the home, which I'm hoping I won't have to, I can't be late to pick him up.
How are you guys reconciling work and family? Do you think I'm just giving myself something to worry about?

No. I think your concerns are totally valid! I'm lucky, as a teacher, because my staff is pretty understanding of both having a baby and being pregnant. I don't make excuses, though, about leaving (and being the first to leave) work at the end of the day. My child is my priority. They're going to have a much happier employee is I know that I'm supported as a Mum too.
I felt the same way as you when I first got pregnant. Work hours worried me but if you work for a good company they will understand and work with you, mine has. Plus like the Previous Poster said my child is my priority my job knows if it did not work out I would be unhappy about it. hehehe.
