Decibel dilemma
I hope the holidays are going well for you. My parents are here, and so far I think they are having a good time.
They like seeing the belly and I don't think either can wait until February 17. (My belly is huge by the way. I keep getting that comment at work.)
We all went to a hockey game last night. It was my parents' first professional game.
I guess it was Little Elvis' as well. It was really loud in the arena and I was worried that it would scare him.
The first period he didn't move at all. But he got into his groove with the second period. I'm not sure how he liked hockey, but I think I may try to stay away from super loud places for the rest of the pregnancy -- if I have the choice.
Do you guys stay away from loud places, or do your babies seem to like them?

Advice from an earlier post: Bob needs to get his own bed. Seriously. Des has slept in a seperate bed for almost this entire pregnancy, and definitely during the last trimester of the last one.
He comes and tucks me in at night (also, I go to bed about 3 hours earlier than him) and then we both enjoy fairly good sleeps. (Of course this time around, they are interrupted by a crying baby 3 times a night.)
I'm interested about the sleeping on your back thing, though, as I panic everytime I wake up on my back.. will have to investigate further.
I went to a concert in the middle of December... it was pretty loud. The baby was pretty quiet at first.. but then started moving around quite a bit. I thought that he might have been scared too. I am not going to attend any other events until after the baby is born. I am not too sure if this type of thing has any effect on the baby, but I do know that I started to get a headache towards the end of the show, and I also get tired much earlier than I used to!
Thanks for the advice Megan. Bob says he would miss me. I guess I must have been a pest before the pregnancy and I'm only noticing it now. And I agree with you taraden - I don't plan on visiting any more loud places either.
