Day 58 - Pacifier love

We love Little Elvis' pacifier. It's called a Gumdrop pacifier, and he got it at the hospital when he was born.

In fact, he had it when they first brought him to me. It doesn't look like a typical pacifier, but he immediately took to it.

Once we got home, I tried to give him one of the pacifiers we bought him in our baby buying sprees. He didn't take it, so we had to find him more of the Gumdrop pacifiers.

It turns out you need to order these guys online, but they give you a 15 percent discount if you submit a picture of your cutie with the pacifier. Our pride in Little Elvis and our cheapness were both satisified with this deal.

I've heard that some people are against pacifiers, but I think they are truly great. It helps calm him down when he's tired and fussy, and I read in one of our parenting books that it's recommended to help prevent SIDS.

Judging from the poll we put up about pacifiers, most of you agree too. Why do you like or not like them?

Gage took to the soothie for a while. Then, he really only went back to the binky (as we call it at my house) when he was getting teeth & wanted something to chew on.
