Day 60 - We're not digging the handprints

Do your baby books have a section for stamps of your baby's hand and footprints? Ours does, and the handprint portion has loomed over my head for weeks.

We got the feet stamped at 2-3 weeks, but when we moved to his hands, Little Elvis got pissed! He did not like having his hand pried open and put on a cold, wet stamp pad.

This week he was sleeping, his hands were open and extended in front of him. Bob got the stamp pad and baby book, and we tried again. It was not pretty.

He squeezed his hands shut and tried to pull them away as Bob attempted to stamp them on the page.

We ended up with some very streaky looking little hands. Maybe when he's 2 years old, we can get a good stamp of his sweet little hands.

When our son was little, he didn't like that either, so we stuck with the footprints.

But---you're so much better than I am b/c I never did a baby book.

I just blog about stuff!

I'm hoping that Little Elvis will enjoy reading the posts when he's earlier. Most of the baby book was done while I was laid up in the hospital after his delivery. I couldn't walk, so I wrote in it and cried. (I'm a dork, I know)
