Day 65 - A star is born
Little Elvis is one loved little boy. On Saturday we wrote about his gift horse that was made by a family friend.
Now he has an amazing homemade quilt that matches his nursery perfectly!

My sewing teacher in Tennessee made him a beautiful quilt covered in stars. His nursery is a moon and stars theme. The colors match perfectly and it even has a tag on the back saying it was made by her.
Miss Vivian never taught me quilting -- I was more into making clothes that I saw in magazines -- but she is obviously very talented at quilting as well.
Bob and I were so touched by her generosity of time and talent and Little Elvis is obviously thrilled to have such a great baby quilt!

That's so sweet.
I suck at sewing...but once, my mom & I took a beginner's quilting class together.
I designed, and she got me going on the sewing machine.
I was fine to sew on my own as long as: (1) I didn't run out of thread, & (2) I didn't have to touch the bobbin under any circumstances. That thing still baffles me.
Whoever designed the sewing machine is a freaking genius.
That quilt is GORGEOUS and so is little elvis!
