We're back

Sorry to have been out of the loop for a while. First we went on vacation, then when we got back, Little Elvis and I got sick. He has a stuffy nose, while I've had a stuffy nose, sore throat, fever, chills and aches. I'm so glad that he's just got the sniffles.

We had a great time on vacation, although I packed WAY too much stuff. We met my Dad's family in Gatlinburg for a family reunion and then traveled to Asheville with my parents.

Little Elvis slept in the bassinet portion of his Pack N Play, and did a really great job. He also did really well on our drive to Gatlinburg. I was shocked by this. I had meant to practice with him in the Pack N Play, but never did.

My grandmother, aunts, cousin and obviously my parents truly enjoyed getting to spend time with Little Elvis. He let several different people feed him and rooted (I like to think he left his slobber mark) on several shirts in key places. He's not subtle, my little guy.

After our week of fun we drove back home and spent the first day straightening up and finding our schedule. That night my cheekbones started throbbing and my nose became clogged. Later that night when I went to feed Little Elvis, his breathing sounded raspy. He kind of sounded like a purring lion cub.

Neither of us had fevers the next morning, so I thought my allergies were just really acting up... No.

I started doing squats with Little Elvis when my legs began to ache. About an hour later I was burning up and hurting everywhere. it was miserable, except for his sweetness.

Now I'm just battling a sore throat and his stuffy nose. His doctor's office has received a few calls. Hopefully we'll both be 100% soon.

Sorry you guys are sick....

I have to tell ya...I saw something on tv today....they mentioned Asheville. I asked my husband, "are they in Nashville?" And he said, "No. Asheville."
I'd never in my entire life heard of Asheville. Then the show went on about what a quaint place it is. I told him I wanna go there now...

That's so funny that you were just there....

Asheville is a pretty place. The downtown is neat and the mountains are beautiful.
