A good night's sleep

Little Elvis and I both slept really well last night.

This is not a common occurrence. I am known to toss and turn fretting over everything and nothing and check on Little Elvis constantly. But last night he was a fairly noisy sleeper and I didn't have to worry about him. And my exhaustion finally kicked in, causing me to fall asleep shortly after lying down.

Not only am I happy about falling to sleep so easily, I'm also thrilled that I didn't dream. I've been having strange, almost nightmarish, dreams the past few nights and I know those are definitely causing some of my sleeplessness.

In the first bad dream I was on a cruise ship, crawling up some sort of jungle gym thing. This odd contraption was sectioned off and located on the ceiling of the ship. A little girl was following me as I jumped from section to section, even though she was too small. Her father was with her and I turned around to tell him she wasn't big enough. He said she was and then she fell... all the way to the ground. I felt so powerless and awful, because she had been following me. The fall caused me to wake up and put me in a funk for most of the morning.

The next night I dreamed that Bob and I were in some sort of weird store that had Price is Right type games. We were taking elevators to get around, but somehow we got separated. Bob ended up on the ground near the check in desk while I ended up 50 feet in the air on a railing type thing that was completely by itself, so I had no way to get down. Bob told me to jump. I asked him if he thought I was crazy, then I fell. Again, the fall woke me up and again, I was in a funk.

Bob says he thinks it's great that I have such vivid dreams that I can remember so well. But when they are so morbid, I'd rather not have or remember them.

Anyone know what falling dreams mean?

I dunno what it means, but I do know that I have vivid dreams WHEN I'M PREGNANT. ;)

i'm not positive, but i do know that falling dreams are one of the common ones. in high school, i think we looked it up, and i think it had something to do w/ the feeling of losing control, and being anxious.

i know exactly what you mean about vivid dreams... i remember dreams from when i was extremely young; and not only the dreams, but the sensations.

i agree with you, there are many times you just wish you didn't dream this odd & scary!

hope they get better. bad dreams suck!
