I think I messed up. I didn't mean to paint a bad picture of Little Elvis with the last post. Yes, he hates naps, but I'm ok with that. He eventually gets them.
I just thought it was kind of funny that he keeps throwing the tooth guards onto the floor.
Bob and I think the tooth guard thing is mostly a fun, new trick. Little Elvis seems to think it's fun to pull those suckers off, and he definitely loves to drop things. The fact that they land with a nice thud is a good bonus.
It's another way to pass the time while trying to fight his nap.
We stopped putting the tooth guards back on yesterday. Somehow I keep finding a couple on the floor everytime I go in to get him. I haven't figured out how this happens, maybe Little Elvis is a wizard in the making? More likely than not, I'm just leaving them on the ground and forgetting about them until the next time a nap is over.
Tomorrow is our sweet little boy's birthday.

Happy BIrthday to Little Elvis! I think you are right, the tooth guards are just something to play with and figure out until he falls asleep. I'm a boy mom too... aren't they great?! Everything is a game... so simple :) if he's still taking 2 naps you may want to switch to one; it was sooo hard to get my son down for his naps at about 11 months old- then we switched to one BIG one - and he slept like a baby :)
ONE MORE THING!
my son's due date was... Elvis' Birthday!!!! Jan. 8th (as I'm sure you know). He came early but I will never forget the King of rock n roll's bday ever :)
hope y'all have a wonderful birthday.
i just hadda stop by to say:
phenomenon? that's hilarious!!!! i read swistle, too.
and, um... did you spell the word correctly back then?
That's cool about always remembering Elvis' birthday, bananablueberry. Looks like our little guys have something in common. I've been thinking about trying just one nap.
mpotter -- I'm not sure that I ever had to write that bear's name. It was a pink bear, so I think the name actually fit it.
Okay, call me a bit out of it but what on earth is a tooth guard? It has been almost ten years since I had a baby so maybe this is something new? :)
Gosh that first year just pases to quick, happy birthday to your little man.
Hopefully will go back to napping soon, i think the tooth guard thing sounds cute. Eilidh likes to throw everything out her cot (including her clothes) then wine she is cold.Little stinkers
That's so funny, he gets them off like that. Zachary just noticed last night that he can get his bottom teeth under the edge of his and uhhhhggggg, it made my spine tingle LOL
