It was just a week ago that Little Elvis chipped a tooth. How could something happen again so quickly?

Little Elvis and I were looking for Slappy under our bed yesterday afternoon. (Don't ask.) And he tripped and fell, hitting the side of his head, by his eye on the bed frame. I had no idea I was supposed to baby proof the bedframe!!

Poor little guy cried and at first I didn't know what was wrong. I was kissing his little knees and hands when I saw the red spot beside his eye.

I tried to wipe it gently with a wipey (unscented) and tried to keep something cool on it. He didn't like the idea of anything touching his little eye. So now it's a little swollen and pinkish purple.

He really looks like a bruiser now. And to top that off, we went to visit Daddy at work this afternoon for "Bring your kid to work day" and Little Elvis fell on the pavement. He scraped his little knee and his forehead. Aaargh!

Bob's aunt and uncle are visiting us right now and Bob's dad is coming in this weekend. They must think I'm training Little Elvis for fights.

No pictures. He looks so pitiful, and I'm embarrassed about the whole bedframe thing. I've since wrapped old thick socks around the parts I think could be most dangerous.

ooooh, I so know how you feel. Zachy busted his lip on our box spring, and we don't even HAVE a bed frame! There's dangers lurking everywhere, I swear!

My daughter has had several of these kind of accidents, including one where she either accidentally or on purpose banged her head on our stairs, which resulted in a mammoth raised black and blue welt. Toddlers should be wrapped in bubble wrap at all times, don't you think?

oh, you're in that phase.
and, on top of all that, he's a boy.

There have been times that Gage looks like I just beat him! But, it's all from falling, bumping, & running into things.

Hang in there!

Aw, take some pictures. Pretty much all the photos I have of my 4 year old from 1 to 3 have lots of nice face bruises or scrapes. I have learned to embrace the boyness;)
Hard not to feel terrible though, isn't it?

I could not help but laugh reading this. You are too sweet. It sounds to me like lil' Elvis is going to be a handful! I wonder when his first set of stitches will be? Mine were at age three. Amazingly enough M never needed them until she was about seven. Hugs!

Just wanted to say a big thank you for your support. It means so much. I think I just need to take some time and we will make the right decision. Hopefully I will go in the right direction after a few appointments that we have lined up for this week.
Take care and thanks again
