Over all, I do a decent job...

Little Elvis has the cutest pair of overalls. And finally this week, we had a day where it wasn't too hot to dress him in them.

I had a devil of a time getting a picture of them, though.

Every time I brought out the camera, he came running to me. For some reason, our camera takes an hour (ok, maybe 4 seconds) to take a picture. That's plenty of time for a fast toddler to make his way to Mommy.

It's the most frustrating thing! It took me a while to finally snap a full length pic of my little farmer.

He doesn't look happy in this picture, though I don't think he was upset. He was ready to go out, but he wasn't in crisis mode. I think he was confused, because I kept saying, "Stay! Don't move!"

I'm sure he was thinking, "Why would she bring out that fun toy if she didn't want me to come running and poke at the buttons?"

I ended up with several pics of the top of Little Elvis' head. This has been pretty common since he started walking. My pictures folder is full of pictures of the top of his sweet little noggin.

When I downloaded the pics, I was shaking my head at the slowness of my camera. Then, I actually looked at one of the head shots.

Look at that hair!! Bob and I have been talking about how much it's growing, but we hadn't really taken any photographic evidence!

It looks like it will be a light (possibly reddish) brown. When he gets hot and sweaty, the back curls up in these unbelievably cute little wisps.

Some strands hang over the tops of his ears, and in the back, some brush the collars of his shirts.

He's definitely not going to be due for a haircut any time soon, but I'm debating giving the back strands a slight trim.

I'm pretty sure I won't. Bob's last hair cut (performed by Mmselle Moi) was not so great. He said it looked wonderful, but I got the front part way too short. It was so bad that no one even commented on it! You know hair cuts are bad when people say, "You got your haircut!" and nothing else. You know they are awful when people say nothing.

And my timing was atrocious. He had his morning show interview 4 days after the botched 'do. And although I've made him two weather jackets, I have neglected to make him a weather hat. My hats are almost as bad as my haircuts, I'm afraid.

At least I do a great job styling my baby, though. Right? I think I hit all the right notes with his little overall outfit.

I LOVE overalls on babies! Last winter (it is winter here now) I had two pairs that Esme wore all the time, but this year I have none her size except overall shorts, and it's a little cold for them. Can't wait until it warms up enough!

And I've done enough yelling at my camera too about how slow it is. My hubby keeps telling me I just need to change the settings, but I'm too impatient to get out the manual and figure it out! I've got lots of photos of baby fingers pointing at the lens!

I don't even want to think about Esme's first haircut coming up someday. I guess it's different for boys, though.

I love overalls too. I don’t think there are as many cute little boys’ clothes as little girls’, but at least there are overalls. And I have a section of photos that I call Elusive Baby. It is sides of head, in focus fingers out of focus face, and all kind of just random baby close-ups. By the way I was playing today and found a song by Gene Autry called Don’t Fence Me In and I thought about what a cute video that would be. I think at first it reminded me of baby gates and then I thought of Little Elvis wanting to go outside. I just thought I would pass it along.

He looks so sweet! And don't cut off those little wisps and curls yet, you will be so sad. I still miss my boys curls.
Oh slow cameras can be the memory card or the processor in the camera. If you mem card is too big, or has lots of photos on it, it will also cause issues.

So cute! I am having camera issues too! They are so darn fast.
Love the overalls, and I hear ya with the haircut. My kid has a mini mullet, but I just can't bring myself to cut it. I guess that is a mommy thing.

I love the pic... both actually.. the one of the overalls is great.. he looks so big in it... I can't hardly believe it. It's like I'm gettint to watch your son grow up before my very eyes. :)

I also love overalls on babies and kids... I used to put them on them all before they were potty trained. now it is a little bit hard b/c they want to go to the bathroom by themselves.

I also have cut my hubby's hair for him... and all i can say is DISASTER!! wow. He keeps coming back for more though.. he allows me to keep trying to see if I can get it right one of these days. It isn't really working. lol I have also cut my mom's hair for her, and my dad's too... what are these people thinking??? lol

I do touch up hair cuts on Trevor... b/c he is still little and doesn't know any better. lol

Hope you and Little Elvis had a great time outside!! :)

I love toddlers in overalls. They seem to make the "diaper waddle" all that more funny.

As for the haircut issue, I can sympathize. Isabella has these adorable curls at the base of her neck sometimes. But most other times, her hair is an unruly mess in dire need of a cut. It's just so hard to take that step to get it done!

Overalls are the best on kids. Not so cool on grown ups. But on toddlers they look adorable. I used to dress M in them all the time. He looks so cute.
