My sweet baby's sick...

... and he's handling it so much better than his mommy.

Little Elvis' nose started running last week. It didn't stop him, though. He just ran with it. He was our normal, happy, hyper boy.

Mommy was taking medicine and whining. Little Elvis wasn't taking anything and was as sweet as usual.
He even learned a new trick -- he can now blow his nose! He so rarely get sick that we haven't had to really learn this yet.
But, he started with a deep, chesty cough on Wednesday. On Thursday, the coughs were more frequent, so I called the doctor. I figured they would tell me to just do the vaporizer and stuff, but since the coughing woke him up both that morning and that afternoon, they had us come in.

He played and chatted and had a big time in the waiting room. Once we went back, we found out that he had a slight fever and the beginning of an ear infection/bronchitis.

Just a little note here: The nurse couldn't stop talking about how sick I looked and sounded. My baby was the sick one and I was stealing all of his glory with my stupid sinus infection.

Little Elvis has been our sweet little trooper. He loves his medicine, and is still acting like nothing's wrong. His coughs aren't as frequent today, although he was more impatient.

I think he gets this whole being-a-good-boy-while-sick thing from Bob.

The pics were part of our final Christmas card sittings -- we got some really great ones!

Another note: I fully realize that by writing about this, we will probably have a very unhappy boy tomorrow.

I am so sorry to hear you are both sick. I imagine if the nurse was pointing out how sick you are then you must be really sick. Are you taking an antibiotic? I hope so. Sinus infections are a pain because they travel between the family members so easily.

Tis the season for runny noses. Ugh. Great with the nose blowing skills! That is a really hard thing to learn. Hugs. Hope you are both feeling better real soon. Get lots of rest!

Thanks for your visit and comments about Kyla. We did a a wonderfully busy weekend...and hopefully she will not have any problems at school today when the other children talk about the party.

I am so sorry that both Little Elvis and you are sick. Have you tried putting VICKS rub on the bottom of your feet before going to bed? It works like a charm in our house. I just rub it on the bottom of the feet before covering with socks. Then off to sleep. No coughing all night and a peaceful nights rest.

Have a wonderful Christmas.
