Hair advice needed

I'm having issues with Little Elvis' hair. On super-humid days his curls are springy and plentiful and bouncy.
They also get springier after a sweaty time spent running outside.
But while they look all cute in these pics, most days they are super frizzy and mostly straight. I hate to cut the curls, but he looks like he has a mullet most days.

When Little Elvis showers with me, I put conditioner in his hair. It makes a huge difference, but that's very, very rare. I also haven't seen any baby conditioners. I did see a detangling spray and was wondering if it might help.

Any advice from people who have experience with curly hair?

I don't about the frizz, and I probably should because I get it too sometimes, but if you are worried about the Bill Ray Cyrus connection then what if you trimmed the back and left it longer on top? That way he could keep those cute curls!

Don't cut it!!!

JR doesn't have curls. Heck, he barely has hair. BUT, I do know a friend who uses an organic conditioner that is made for kids and it works great. Jojoba works well.

Don't shampoo everyday. You can wet it and use a leave in conditioner, but shampooing will dry it out and create more frizzies.

Good luck . . .

Big hugs to Elvis . . . what a doll!

sorry, i'm of no help.
i'm fretting over having to part little bean's hair to the side, instead of letting it hang straight down (oh so cute).

good luck!
hope the sweet curls stick around.
