Catching up

It's only been 4 days, but in many ways it feels like it's been so much longer. Guess it's because a lot has happened.

Baby Plum is wonderful. He's beautiful and looks a lot like his brother. I haven't actually gotten a chance to study infant pictures of Little Elvis, but I'm planning to do a side-by-side comparison.

Without having to look, I can tell you Baby Plum's eyes are a much lighter shade of blue -- almost gray. I will also need to study one of my baby pictures, because I'm thinking he might end up with my eyes.

He's a funny little one. Very calm and quiet for the most part. But he goes from zero to starving in half a second, and then... watch out. He's got a great pair of lungs.

When he was delivered, he started trying to scream before they could finish cleaning out his little mouth. He screamed and screamed and screamed. It was a great sound, and pretty funny.

The delivery went well. It was an extremely different experience this go round. We were lots more informed and it wasn't as rushed. Of course, it wasn't an emergency.

The pain was worse than I remember. But I think I blocked those memories...

Breastfeeding is going well. Baby Plum latched well on day 1. My milk came in yesterday, but he's still a little jaundiced, like his brother.

Speaking of Little Elvis, he is very interested in Baby Plum. Whenever he came to visit, he ran in looking for Baby Plum. I have super cute pics of both of them, but haven't had too much time on the computer.
My mom sent me this one from Day 1.

As you can see, he's very sweet.
