Intention versus reality

Little Elvis looked so debonair on the way to church on Sunday. His little black velvet jacket was snug, though. I knew we would need to take a picture when he got home, because the jacket wouldn't fit another day.

I was busy once we got home, and asked Bob to take the picture. I had images in my mind of a dashing little boy looking like he did when we went to church that morning -- shirt tucked in, jacket buttoned, hair combed, face clean, etc.

This is what I got. To clarify, I didn't say, tuck him in and button him up. I just said I'd like a picture of him in his cute outfit. The pictures made me laugh when I downloaded them. They are a whole lot messier than I intended.

This one is my favorite. He looks pretty happy and whole lot more comfortable than he did that morning heading for church.

This is my new favorite picture of Baby Plum. Bob took it as well. He's a much better photographer than I am. But I think I'm the better stylist.
