Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!

Our library had a special story time today. It honored Dr. Seuss! Since Little Elvis was the Cat in the Hat for Halloween, we pulled out his costume. And Baby Plum rocked the blue clown wig I found on sale right after Halloween, along with one of his brother's turtlenecks.
Here they are before going to the party.
Little Elvis tried to help me keep Baby Plum's wig on.
One of the kids at the party asked me where Thing 1 was. I didn't have an answer.
Isn't one enough?

As soon as we got there, Little Elvis plopped himself down in the middle of a daycare class. He usually does this. But I'm usually able to find a closer seat to him. The party was packed and the teachers had filled up all the seats close to that class. Baby Plum and I headed for the back of the room and I fed him his little piece of cake. Once he was done, I looked over and Little Elvis was bawling. Poor baby looked up and couldn't find anyone that he knew. I had to lug Baby Plum through a sea of kids to get to my bawling big boy, and then maneuver all of us back through the kids.

We still had a really fun time.

Goodness - they are absolutely adorable! I need to spruce up my kid's dress-up options, I think...

Love those outfits! I especially love Thing 2's hair, and you are right - just one is enough :).

How cute is that?! Dr. Seuss would've been proud to have such adorable representatives of his characters. :)
